Air Traffic Controllers
Missing Evidence About the September 11th Flights
Other than a few details attributed to air traffic controllers in news reports in the immediate aftermath of the attack, there have been virtually no public disclosures from any of the controllers. There are no public records of interviews with any of the controllers. The controllers have information about the attack that is vital to understanding it, and the public has been deprived of this information.
The publicized case of an audiotape of accounts by air traffic controllers being destroyed by an FAA supervisor may have been part of a campaign to intimidate controllers from sharing what they know. Journalist Jon Rappoport points to many questions and indications of a coverup raised by this incident. For example, it is almost certain that communications between the hijacked planes and the air traffic controllers were taped. Yet no government agency has apparently disclosed the existence of such tapes. 1 Were they all destroyed?
